Finalize SPEECH and CURRENT Event

Today you will use the 1st 20 minutes of class to finalize your presentation and prepare for the speech portion. Make sure you rehearse! Read the rubric below and make sure you are doing well on all of the points I will grade you on! You must save your presentation on a USB today.

With the time remaining, I would like you to go to one of the following websites:

  TASK: to write a summary
  To begin your summary, use the MLA heading style with your name, date, class name, & teacher's name. Then center the title of the article in quotation marks. Underneath the title, copy and paste the URL address of the page the article is on. Finally, write a 7-10 sentence summary of the article you read. The summary must be in your own words. If for some reason you would like to quote a portion, you must do it properly (using quotation marks and parenthetical citations). When you are finished, spell check and edit your work!
