3rd Person Narrative Assignment

Your first assignment will have a couple of legs to finish it completely. The first leg of the assignment is to write a third person narrative of yourself. Please read with me the following third person narrative about Mrs. Ehle:

Mrs. Ehle is a twenty-something year old teacher at Shrine Catholic Academy and High School. This past summer she got married to a wonderful man named Aaron Ehle. They had a terrific wedding day. After their wedding they went on a breathtaking cruise to the Mediterranean. Their cruise took them to Spain, Sicily, Italy, and France. Mrs. Ehle says it was one of her favorite vacations ever.
Along with her vacation, Mrs. Ehle was able to take part in one of her favorite pasttimes: photography. She returned from the Mediterranean with 20 rolls of film. Some of her favorite shots were taken in the preserved city of Pompeii in Italy. She captured some neat pictures of people who were covered in ash by the eruption of Mount Vesvius!
Mrs. Ehle has other pasttimes as well. This fall you could catch her at a Tiger’s game or a University of Michigan Football game. (She has tickets to the U of M vs. Minnesota game for the Little Brown Jug). She is also going to play tennis with the Detroit Social Club on Wednesday nights. And sometimes after school, in order to unwind, she enjoys cooking and baking. One of her favorite shows to watch is Top Chef!

So third person narratives require you to talk about yourself as if you weren’t yourself. You need to refer to yourself by name and by third person pronouns.

Your third person narrative must be between 200-250 words in length with multiple paragraphs.

After you finish this leg of the assignment, we will investigate how to create columns and tables, and how to use text boxes with the third person narratives you write. We will also review changing fonts, sizes, colors and other various ways to manipulate text.

Remember, you will need to master these certain elements of Word if you wish to test out of computers. During the days I lecture over how to create columns, tables, text boxes, etc....it would be in your best interest to take notes so if you were given a test over it you will have something to study from.
